TYNA was a beautiful American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) bitch of Jumper lineage. She was a fine example of a first class fighting dog and had been brought to the Czech Republic by foreigners from the Balkans primarily for the purpose of dog fighting.
Because of her "bad performance" she was abandoned.
She was discovered at a building site close to Prague in 1997, when she was 1.3 years old, was chained to a tree and looked to be in very bad shape; apparently she had previously given birth to puppies.
She was saved by young people who did all in their power to eventually manage to find and contact a few dog owners. Due to their love for this breed of dog, these warm-hearted people were able to come up with necessary finances and retrieved her.
For personal reasons they couldn't keep the dog on a permanent basis. They persisted in carefully looking for a new owner. A few weeks later I became TYNA's new owner and gave her a new home.
I took the dog home at first on trial and later on for good. There is a long tradition of dog breeding in my family that stretches many generations back and partly due to this I was able to offer excellent conditions for TYNA.
TYNA died three and half years ago.
